GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position is a contract to hire.
Under general supervision, debugs moderately complex software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Design, code and execute automated test scripts. Conducts functional and test process consulting and coordinates testing groups. Documents and tracks product testing results. May conduct training on use of automated tools and processes. May have internal and some external contacts.
EDUCATION: Bachelor degree or equivalent
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years related experience; Good Communication skills, written and verbal; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Job Requirements:
Responsible to test new products and enhancements.
Implement and maintain test plans.
Create, maintain and execute manual/automated test cases
Execute integration, functional, and regression tests.
Report and track defects using Mercury Quality Center.
Create automated scripts using Mercury QTP.
Minimum 2 years experience in the software testing field
Skills:
• Experience with testing large websites.
• A working knowledge of how web applications and databases work.
• 1+ yrs of programming/scripting experience.
• Knowledge of testing tools such as Mercury QTP and Quality center.
• Understanding of agile software process and methodologies.
• Ability to work in an environment with limited documentation.
• Ability to communicate high prioritized bugs and keeping project team involved of testing status.
• Strong understanding of QA concepts and methodologies
Pluses:
Knowledge of ASP.NET, AJAX, Java and Javascript.
Knowledge of automated tools such as Selenium and Soatest
